i got timesplitters future perfect on xbox at a thrift store and battlestar galactica. i assumed i could put it in my 360 and play it. it doesnt work. battlestar galactica does. the plan was 4 player splitscreen since i already have a bunch of 360 controllers. now i'd have to buy an og xbox and 4 controllers if i wanted to. i had to resort to dolphin emulator to get the fun times i wanted with friends, and even then we are limited cause between the 4 of us the only computer thats good enough it play it is a desktop at my house. they hardly ever come to my place and bringing this fucking thing over and setting it up would be too annoying. the all have 360s and it could have been as simple as bring the discs and some controllers. emulation is the future. my next comp will be a beefy laptop so i dont have to deal with this shit. hell, maybe a cheap one in a few years would be good enough for emulating 6th gen games and back.

Microsoft wasted time and money on adjusting CPU scheduling of those 360 games so that it would properly on the xbone's X360emulator, then hosting it online only to end up with only 1.5% user base. Microsoft knows this from the start and didn't want BC or used games at launch. They only add it for sake of fixing their image

What majority of normies really want are Remastered bundles that properly utilise the hardware resource of the current gen. e.g MK8D and Uncharted Drake's collection.

Sony used to be so great with backwards compatibility. It fucking sucks to see them dismissing a serious selling point for a console, especially when that console is brand-new. God knows how many people justified their launch PS3 because it could play PS2 and PS1.

While a bit late to the party I think if Xbone focuses on exclusives for the rest of this gen and make the next-gen Xbox BC with Xbone right out of the gate, then Microsoft can be back on top again, which is great for everyone. Sony is objectively better when they're playing second-fiddle to Xbox.
