I started to play this three days ago and I haven't found any armor, where can I get some?

Can I lock onto a target? Because the character is clumsy as fuck. I hope they fixed this in the next game.

You can buy a shitty miner armor in the Old Camp or get one for free in the Free Mine behind New Camp.

But good armor is a gift from your faction. You'll have to join one to get it.

there is both dodging and blocking but in that webm I suck hard because I'm used to Gothic 2's combat which is a little different

Anyone here play Exoplanet: First Contact on Steam? It feels like Gothic but it's supposed to be a western on an alien planet. The controls and item gathering are identical but the guns suck.

It feels bad to shoot an enemy's head and do same damage as torso shot. Also, you can't do any special combat maneuvers, so melee is a death sentence against hyper enemies.

Gothic 1 was made to be played with keyboard only and no mouse so that's why it has different controls.

They are two completely opposite combat systems

You get used to it really fast. Gothic 2 fixed it to one button. I actually ended up enjoying this combat system

In TW3 you press one button and Geralt automatically lunges and hits the enemy with his sword. And you also press one button and Geralt automatically dodges an attack with invisible frames like in dark souls


In Gothic you "manually" perform every swing of your sword, left, right, forward, your block only last one second so you have to time it so that you block just as the enemy hits you or you die. There is no "press X to roll and dodge" button, if you want to dodge then you have to manually backstep or sidestep and you don't have invisible frames, the enemy sword can still hit you, you just have to avoid it touching you
