I guess it's cool that enemies ragdoll like crazy now, but the combat itself looks pretty much the same as 2. Oh, having 5 heat bars is really great too.

If you don't use healing items, Yakuza can be quite challenging on the higher difficulties, especially Yakuza 3. The same can be said about the most praised 3d beat em up like NG and DMC. You could try to abuse healing items, but no self respecting person would do that. These games are about becoming good enough that you don't need healing items.
