Vf is both:
1 Extremely bland for a genre that prides themselves on unique and distinctive character design, storys, combat moves etc. And
2 too hard/complicated for any casual or 2d fighting player to care to learn when they are too busy learning tekken

Not to mention they dont appeal to realismfags or martial arts people either, the fighting system is still too outlandish and arcadey for lets say an mma fan, so it cant really say it has realism on its side, or only appeals to a very weird niche that likes stuff to be kinda realistic but still cartoony and silly
