The vast majority of people buy consoles to play only a few games, these are always in annualized franchises(e.g. COD, NBA 2k, FIFA). You think Bloodborne or any of the other stuff /v/ sucks off is going to be statistically significant?

The only statistical outlier has been Nintendo since they are dependent on their first party output to drive platform sales.

Now what I'd really like to see is some kind of "Year in Review" for Steam.

Valve mainstays like whatever the most recent incarnation of Counter-Strike is, Dota 2 and Team Fortress 2 have always stayed consistently high, as well as things like GTAV, etc.

But there's also a lot of Flavor-of-the-season kind of stuff that frequently ranks highly, like Battlegrounds. Not to dismiss them, H1Z1 and the like have had some staying power.
