Yea but what's the best way to help a friend get over them? I've got one in particular who spent thousands of hours on Skyrim (his first Bethesda game) then was introduced to Fallout 4 and is working his way up to that without touching any other game. It's kind of depressing.

Remind me of the last good game Obsidian has made

I feel like Bethesda has very few actual programmers who work on the game engine itself. That most of their staff just knows how to script events in the game.

That's just my impression. You don't really see much in the way of complex game mechanics being thrown at you, everything is always within the confines of player to NPC interactions. They either don't have the manpower or they don't care.
