Chapter 2 is poorly named, it's more like a prologue to the game showing the aftermath of Skullface and how nothing was actually fixed. Instead Diamond Dogs just keeps getting fucked over. You're not supposed to feel satisfied with the ending, if Kojima wanted to answer what happened to Eli and Sally he could have done so in a casette tape; but he deliberately choose not to because it fits better with MGSV's theme of loss. LOL

Ultimately MGSV is supposed to show you that revenge isn't some spectacular thing and that villains aren't cool, it's why Huey kills Skullface, and why Big Boss fucks you over massively in the end.

I'm pissed because there was a perfect/weird way to wrap up the whole series and Kojima probably never came up with the idea.

The game already gives you tapes out of nowhere. It makes no sense how you get some of these tapes. They should've kept it going and given you tapes from the future.

People who say MGSV being shot was intentional to give the player a "phantom pain" are the same kind who bitch about things like Gone Home receiving praise when they're both just hack garbage of the same degree.

Lets not pretend that it was left unfinished by choice. It's clearly unfinished. No other metal gear game has everything to do with the plot concealed behind esoteric lore and forum lurking. Accept that the game was released 60% content, and that's not the real ending, and you were jewed.

My advice, and what helps me sleep at night, is to pretend 5 never existed.

I have a lot of complaints with this game, mostly tied to the open world and the general pacing but I actually liked the story.
