Can someone explain to me why these E3 videos are always so painfully quiet? 95% of them have absolutely no audience sound whatsoever in them and it makes it so painful to watch them crack jokes to dead silence.

I've never been to one of these conventions so I don't know if they just don't understand how to mic the audience for their videos or if it really is just a dozen guys in a room with their arms crossed quietly.
