As a break from the cancer that MGS threads have lately become, I'd like to ask some people what would their ideas be for a next MGS game (for all you rusefags- what do you "expect" from the "upcoming" MGS game)

character limit prevents me from explaining my ideas but here's the jist
>PROLOGUE- ERWIN'S PROBLEM
soldier in kuwait, 1991, it's hinted at their squad has been injected with genome. solid snake is part of the squad, solidus is a general. you're captured by iraqis but escape with solid's help, but you get mad that 1 person was left behind and fight snake
>ACT1- THE OCTOPUS: solidus snake in liberia from 85 to 88, rigging the election for US interest and being indoctrinated by a CIA operative. part 1 is the political candidates 'elimination', part 2 is solidus training child soldiers
>ACT2- THE HEART: naked snake as a teen in 1950 at a nuclear testing site. The Boss makes an appearance as an american spy. snake has stockholm syndrome, later joins korean war
ACT3- TO RUSSIA WITH LOVE: soldius as a CIA operative and member of reagan's administration in 1988 on a "visit" to the USSR american embassy. part 1 you're stuck in the building, you eavesdrop and plant bugs, plan an escape. part 2 is the real mission in the streets evading secret police, finding a pro fixer hired to kill reagan. turns out it's the patriots who want to oust reagan and control both the US and USSR
>ACT4- THE SNAKE WHO SHED ITS SKIN
you're the genome soldier. as you play the game, you progressively look more and more like Big Boss, but the player isn't sure if it's real or in his head. It's implied he has lost his sanity in the war. he deserts his squad but solidus gives him radio support as he tries to rescue a captured squad member
>EPILOGUE
George Sears walking around the White House. objective is the oval office but you can walk around and examine items and hear his commentary on portraits, adding to the idea of patriotism VS The Patriots.

op here. my idea would be a real hardcore experience- no reflex mode, no wallhack markers, no tranq gun, no buddies, no 'deployment'. and silencers are expensive and have realistic sound properties. through the acts, you're just out in the world, surviving. there's a stamina, water and stress meters, also in-game currency that you use to buy basic things like water, but money is hard to come by in general.

there's different 'aspects' of survival, it's not only trying to maintain a water meter or stealthing it up, it's also social stealth, like solidus blending in to the villages by pretending to be a friendly soldier when he's just a mercenary. you can use 2 different armbands for the different political parties, and in act 3 the 'survival' means not blowing your cover with the USSR secret police

yeah. aside from survive, i can't imagine konami letting anyone do a new MGS. only possibility is more TPP knock-offs on the fox engine- some of which i would genuinely still consider to be good. all of the tools are there, you just need to embrace player creativity and a few enemy bases like GZ, OKB-zero etc

>takes place between 2 and 4
>game is centered around infiltrating thrid world shitholes as Solid Snake hunting down REX knockoffs in the hands of different terrorist cells around the world with the help of Otacon and a cast of local contacts you have in whatever country you're in at that point

First, declare PO, PW and V an alternate timeline.

Starts with BB working as a mercenary post Operation Snake Eater. First mission is in 1971,rescuing a VIP from Hanoi, which is in fact EVA. It was Zero who set up the job, and he offers BB to join the Patriots along with EVA and the Snake Eater crew. BB accepts the command of FOXHOUND.

On the following mission, however BB fails and falls into a coma. For fear of losing the word's greatest soldiers, Zero initiates Les Enfants Terribles project.

BB recovers some time later. He helps expanding The Patriot's power base via black ops, recruiting soldiers and developing a reputation as a leader along his notoriety as a legendary mercenary. At the same time he notices the moral deterioration among The Patriots - Sigint becoming corrupt, Paramedic going full Mengele and Zero becoming a paranoid control freak.

Ocelot reveals the existence of LET to BB, which is the last straw in BB's and Zero's strained relationship. BB starts to indoctrinate his soldiers to be loyal to him, not FOXHOUND as a whole, and funnels funds into creating Outer Heaven, and also Zanzibar.

As the game spans decades, BB recruits characters from the other MGS games (Miller, Campbell, Gray Fox, etc) and you periodically visit OH, overseeing it's construction.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, a former KGB agent attempts to sell Granin's Metal Gear plans. BB and Ocelto retrieve the plans and decide that MG will be the ultimate deterrent against Patriot control. The final mission is kidnapping Dr Madnar.

Credit sequence, like the one in MGS4, stops after Solid Snake's VA is revealed. You play as SS infiltrating Outer Heaven. The layout of the base is somewhat altered, and the bosses are some of the soldiers BB recruited during the game.

After Snake completes his mission, post credits scene shows heavily wounded BB and Ocelot arriving in Zanzibar Land.

Gameplay is largely the same as V, with moves from 4 also. Maps are similar to Camp Omega in size, and are designed around being replayable, with different times of day, weather conditions, etc altering the way you play. Focus is on procuring equipment on site, however you can develop various items to take on alternate/replay missions.

Game has various playable charaters (FOXHOUND recruits) with unique abilities, since BB becomes less of a soldier and more of a leader as time goes on. No regen health or reflex. Marking enemies requires an endgame gadget. Proper bosses in the MGS tradition.

Hayter voices BB until his coma. After that, it's Richard Doyle. Hayter returns as Solid Snake.

Go around creating Zanzibar Land, meeting Grey Fox, Sniper Wolf and all that crew, while fucko stole-your-face plays with Ocelot in the sandbox.

Yeah, plus I was just a fan of him before MGS to be honest

I feel like if he had been given his time to shine instead of Kojima being all "muh Fury Road silent protagonist" he could have done a great job. I think his voice direction as Big Boss fit the more serious tone very well.

Would be nice to have a game with Doyle as Big Boss, Hayter as Snake, Clarke as Liquid and Keef as Solidus in a game where Solidus plays a major rule.

Peace Walker showed us Big Boss finally accepting his title, throwing away the bandana, turning his back on The Boss and formally establishing Outer Heaven. So basically, it ruined any chance of a proper follow-up to MGS3 since all of the interesting story beats had been filled in. MGSV had no chance of telling a decent story because of this, which I guess is fine if you consider PW to be the true MGS5.

A game with The Boss as a playable character WWII era, MGSV kinda hinted at this.

Bring back ideas like cutting enemy weapons to disarm nonlethally, and have gadgets like emp grenades and magnet mines that trap metal things like cyborgs in place to make up for being a normal human in a cyborg world.
And cater to my armpit fetish becshse its only natural that the daughter of the reason why I have an armpit fetish carry the torch

Have unlockables like getting Olga's exosuit that makes the game play like a normal Rising game after you've beaten the story once.
