Speaking of Yukari, I've been playing Persona Q and I have to say she really gets the short end of the stick in contrast to Yukiko gameplay-wise. They're both your designated healers early in the game due to having innate access to dia, Yukari gains Media skills where as Yukiko gets Maragi skills. But then later on you can get Media, Mediarama, Mediarhn skill cards or sub personas with those abilities. And not only that, Yukiko specializes in both magic and luck, meaning you can make her a fast and hard hitting magic user with the agility-luck reverse charm or a fast status inflictor with the mag-agility reverse charm. However in contrast Yukari only specializes in magic, meaning she's less versatile.

No mate, no one had to die at all. It's just that reversing time would have brought them to before P3MC sacrificed himself to seal Nyx, which in turn means Nyx's fall is imminent again.
So unless the MC does the same thing again, which was practically a miracle, everyone dies.
