It's a shore having to grind to get strong enough to beat the bosses and when a game feels like a shore is a sign that something is bad with it.

Metis is low-key one of the most interesting characters in the franchise. Probably the most interesting "Shadow" version of a character in any of the games. The fact that she's literally Aigis's personality given form while The Answer has been teaching you to methodically massacre your enemies, like a robot, really helps you connect with Aigis and gives Metis a real purpose both gameplay and storywise. Wish another Shadow character has as much emotion depth as she does.

I like Metis, too. Her design is great, she's extremely useful in battle (consistently downs almost all enemies, where an AoA is a death sentence for regular enemies and the best way to get through the dungeons) and her connection to Aigis was very intriguing.

I found it really weird and shamelessly fanservicey how Metis's design is way way more sexualized than Aigis, with more noticeable breasts an outline around her navel, and a more curvy, human figure, but when you consider what she is, it suddenly makes a lot of sense. She's the human side of Aigis that Aigis is trying so desperately to forget, just to numb her pain. By succumbing to her machine-side, she's lost her empathy and ability to connect with others, both platonically and romantically. Metis literally exhibits traits of Aigis's suppressed sexuality.
