Put they're handicap on sweet, and put your handicap on spicy. Lower handicaps slow down the descent of blocks (which actually makes it great for practicing) while higher handicaps give you more speed and scrambles the garbage blocks to give you more of a challenge.

It's really not that hard. All I do is sandwich and gtr and I always at least get a 7. This is a 7 chain and I can build it without thinking about it, but I have trouble going beyond this and fuck up where I put my colors and sometimes cut my chain short. I just need to practice other forms until it is burned into my head and I can mix and match without having to waste too much time thinking about it.

I'm starting to get upset when I lose online. I have a 4k+ rating so I'm probably going to start being matched to more difficult people (does matchmaking take rank/rating into account?).

Also I still can't set up T-spins reliably. I have 3 stars on all the acts, have watched the expert tutorial, but I still can't set them up without taking an agonizingly long time.

It's easy. Just put something over a T shaped hole. There isn't much to think about If you build tetrises in the middle you can just put a Z or S over the whole and bam, easy T spin. The hole just has to be even on both sides.

The PS4 version has much higher quality players in general though. Mostly since it came out years earlier so it has all the good JPs and the guys dedicated enough to import it. Also helps that the dualshock 4 is a much nicer controller than at least the regular joyons for fast paced puzzle games like this, haven't tried the pro controller so I can't comment on that one.

I try doing GTR but I end up with a huge stack on the side because I sort through to find the right piece that I need. I can only get a 5-7 chain before the entire board fills up, and that's if the opponent doesn't completely fuck me over with garbage.
