It's just a fucking video game series. By itself it's already extremely heavily derivative of Mad Max, A Boy and His Dog, Wasteland, and just plain stealing the armor designs from Starship Troopers and Warhammer. In fact, it was just a random thrown out experiment when they couldn't make a Wasteland 2 at first.

The original devs and writers of Fallout literally could care less. They have moved on not just years ago but decades ago when Herve Caen fired them all. They are probably normie-tier now and glad to see normies sucking up the new stuff. Literally, Avellone who was a huge contributor even was excited for 4. They've completely given up. They were glad to be able to make New Vegas but only because they had all the tools and resources to make the game already. Josh Sawyer said in an interview they probably wouldn't have even bothered if they weren't allowed to use Fo3's resources and Gamebryo, because it was incredibly easy comparatively to make NV. Afterwards, Josh and the gang really have moved ON from Fallout. They have a MILLION NEW IDEAS and nearly don't give a shit. Brian Fargo even CONTINUED and is CONTINUING WASTELAND with WASTELAND 3 as it was originally meant to be long before Fallout 1 was made when they couldn't make W2.

Believe me. I've done my research. The only people who care about this series are people who feel like some grave injustice has occurred to some person.

There was, but it was long before any of you gave a shit, and those people don't care anymore. Bethesda really didn't know that the original devs were also bidding on the Fallout IP. It's just a tragedy of circumstance. The series is shit now but WASTELAND is a thing. The only reason you'd care about this series is if you were extremely autistically in love with it's universe and the NCR when Wasteland has twice the lore and promise as this series. Just give it up.

Just be thankful Bethesda was dumb enough to let Obsidian make a game that shits all over their amateur hour and makes them look bad.
