It was already free so:

-Basic class is soldier (only SMG), you need to grind 2-3 days to unlock the other classes and 1 or 2 days per gun.

-Skills locked to lvl 1, grind some days to unlock lvl 2, some weeks to unlock lvl 3 and some months to unlock lvl 4. Isn't p2w because they reset after every campaign and new players get low XP anyways :^)

-No servers, just some crappy matchmaker based on some gay rank.

-Payed service, like namechanges and renting a clan tag.

There's tons of things wrong with bethesda games overall, but horse armor gets a lot of undue hate like it spelled the end of decent game content. The rest of the dlc for Oblivion was fairly good and the expansion pack was better than the original game. They also learned from it with Skyrim and released only three dlcs, two of which were pretty big.

The real piece of shit was the paid mods fiasco. Imagine the hell that would be gaming if that had taken off.
