L1 is left brake, R1 is right brake. You want to use the same side which you're turning into.You can also slightly push down or pull up your ship in hills, which can let you do barrel rolls off some tight spots but that comes later. Doesn't it affect how sensitive the thrust button is? In that case you'd want it on 10% so you'd get full thrust no matter how light or hard you press the button. 100% would force you to press the thrust button very fucking hard to reach top acceleration.

I can't remember if it was for a trophy or just my own personal completion but found finishing a 8 race tournament on phantom elite all with 1st place was the hardest trophy for HD.

I also remember there was one detonator round on the hardest difficulty that i was never able to get a high enough score on and it was the only race I had not completed.

2048 is easiest, wider tracks and luck can help you more (lots of defense pads with turbos), but it may teach you some poor racing habits and when things hit the fan you'll suck

Fury is bunch of weirdo modes and more technical tracks, I wouldn't touch this early on.

HD is where it's at, good variety of tracks and you got difficulty settings, adjust as needed. Best start there imo

Yeah, i've just been spending majority of my time getting muscle memory and track memorization back on track. Haven't felt the need to dip into online much yet, it's swarmed by Snails Pace racers (Venom/Flash etc.) first time adopters anyway. Best way to get back into competent competition is to let their enthusiasm wear off and eventually the only thing that's left is the veterans. It's back to HD days in that sense, which i welcome.

I have a fucking weird problem going on here.

I put the disc in and let it install, started the game. Played the first 2 races in the 2048 campaign, and now it it says "Copying Application Data" and has 30 hours remaining that keeps increasing.

So I backed out of that and played up to race 4 in the HD campaign, but halfway through the 4th race it says "the disc cannot be read" and only gives me the option to eject.

Never seen this before how to fix?
