As somebody who just played 1-6 back to back. 6 is a fucking pile of garbage. It's slow, the translation is horrible, the pacing is fucking AWFUL and it constantly breaks your party. I'm not going to compare it to 7 since I haven't played 7 in forever and I'm not about to right now, but 1, 3, and 5 are all SIGNIFICANTLY better games than 6, glitches included. The only reason 6fags exist is nostalgia and the fact that the good games aside from 1 never released in the US and 1 was kind of buggy and barebones.

2 is a monstrous disaster and 4 is just 2 but more functional while being way less customizable. It's also this really stupidly linear bullshit that removes party members nonstop. So I can see how 6 looked fucking amazing in comparison when a terrible translation of 4 was the only thing you got to experience.

But guess what, other jrpgs of the era, even by the same fucking company blew the SHIT out of 6. SMRPG, Chrono Trigger, Secret of mana/evermoore, Legend of gaia/terranigma. 6 was hot garbage even back in the day and every time I tried to play it I ended up putting it down because of it's terrible pacing. It was a slog even now to force myself through it.
