No more of this shit, let's settle this now. No shitposting, actual discussion, final destination.

They don't matter- make your own opinions instead of parroting others.
reviews don't matter ever. no exceptions.
Wow anon, it's almost like the world isn't actually black and white and the usefulness of each review can't be determined in the context of a specific reviewer and game.
they barely matter, they can be used as a loose metric for if you should get a game, but generally it's better to try a game first-hand if you're able to, or to ask a trustworthy friend about it.

I'm sick of the shitposting every time a game comes out. Either reviews do matter and thus can be used to argue about a game's quality, or they don't and everyone needs to shut the fuck up with trying to "BTFO" other people.

No, the only person I listen to for games are those who have the same tastes as me, because if they enjoyed it, usually I will it too. People who get their opinions from reviewers or even worse, /v/, need to be gassed.

you're just mad about Zelda being game of the decade, aren't you?

>Do review scores matter?
No
And even making this thread or the possible assertion that they COULD makes you human trash.

I loved BotW, but I what I didn't love was both sides pretending that their farts smelled better than the others. Basically I fucking hate /v/ but I can't leave so I want to know if it's shitposting or I'm just crazy.

Reviews CAN matter but a lot of time it depends on the individual opinions of the reader and how they compare to the writer. Anyways, /v/ will try to use anything they can to maximize shitposting and reviews are often a prime target for this whether or not they actually agree or care. Don't listen to /v/ 90% of the time.
Also, this thread is stupid.
