yeah, they need to step it up with the combat but they also need to introduce more variety in the world, black flag, ac3 and rouge had sailing going for it but they went back to Europe and drop it entirely, syndicate had the bat grapple and vehicles but it needed more.

I'm not too sure about that, I have read some of the normalfag's reception of the game and while many appreciate the game I think many found it too repetitive. I don't think it's as beloved as /v/ thinks but I could be wrong. There's also the issue of launching a whole new IP that they may feel will compete with AC.

Yeah, they absolutely need to introduce something amazing or polish the shit out of what they have. I'm not expecting that but I'm hoping we can go back to the stealth approach of the first game but done right this time.

We know the game will have some sailing, I'm just hoping we'll have some pre-gunpowder naval combat and boarding to get some variety on the game. Camel's are the bare minimum if they don't have that I'll know they dropped the ball.

But that's the thing, it's an informal term to begin with. Where I'm from, everyone uses it in reference to race. It doesn't matter how light your skin is, if you're from a black country, you're considered black. I'm from northern India, so my skin is a light-medium brown, and I know white guys who are only slightly lighter than me, but they're still considered to be white.

I wonder what the play is like. AssCreed reinvents the wheel with each new generation. AC2 sped up the climbing and added a whole bunch of shit nobody asked for (economy, merchants, upgrades, stupid secret memory things). AC3 retooled all of that especially the parkour system and combat (and the rest was executed like shit). Unity was a dumpster fire that once again reinvented the parkour system, added a grind-a-thon equipment upgrade system, added a SHIT level up system dependant on gear, and retooled the combat into complete shit. Syndicate gave a halfassed combat system that was more AC1 than AC3, retooled the level up system to be less shitty than Unity's but still shit overall, had a grappling hook that allowed the level designers to add more verticality to the maps and more space between buildings, "DIVERSITY" that fell flat on its face.

Syndicate's combat is more about mashing the attack button a bunch to win and single enemies basically just take it. Push attack button one more time to do an overly long kill animation on a group of stunned enemies. Combat takes too long for cannon fodder enemies. The closest to AC1's combat.

In AC2, Brotherhood, and Revelation, it's more "Counter-attack to win" because that was so easy and OP. I don't think I ever bothered to do a regular strike in either Brotherhood or Revelation.

In AC3-era (AC3, BF, Rogue), you only strike enemies until your weapon does the chainable instant kills, and the chainable instant kills can also start from counter-attacks. Combat is short and to the point. I honestly liked this combat system the best.
