From what I played in the betas 78 seems pretty just.
The alternate modes are messy and the price seems steep for what it is.

You're required to have a 70% in a course because it shows that you know most of what you need to do to be part of a work force.

A 5/10 shows for every thing you don't enjoy, you will enjoy something. This means it's an okay game, not worth rushing out for unless you're a die hard fan of whatever it is.

A 6/10 shows it does more right than wrong, and it's fun but not probably worth a $60 price tag.

A 7/10 shows it actually is pretty impressive and is fun to play. Arguably worth a $60 price tag.

A 8/10 shows it does a lot right, it excels at what it does. Something definitely worth purchase.

A 9/10 shows it does almost everything right, even if you're not a fan of it normally it's worth a look and is the kind of game to easily be a potential GOTY.

A 10/10 is and flawless. To rarely be given out and only for things that truly deserve it.

Like, this is exactly my sentiment, but I'm of the opinion that that is the base-like you should be going for if you have a $60 price tag over your head.

Look at something like movies or TV. It's much simpler to go see a crappy film, and it's even simpler to watch something terrible on TV. There's a much smaller level of gating, but with games, you've got a hefty price tag right up front, so it's totally logical that people shy away from anything less than a 7, because they want something that's fun more than half the time.
