Beta keys get released at random, from races or from supporting the game over $500 in a lifetime.

Act 8 is still not done so when they release that within 2 weeks the server will be rolled back. Just play for fun and then go hard after the rollback

Just going to be a "normal" style run except with most of the new stuff such as acts, damage changes, etc.

You should watch twitch. The top players will have won keys from races and you'll be able to listen to them talk about what their goals are as they start playing. It's all going to be reset in 2 weeks anyways.

Pretty much the only difference with a new league is that rare expensive items are even more expensive until the economy stabilizes. I find that a new league 1 exalted orb can go for 100 chaos orbs, but a month later you can get one for 45-60 chaos. Haven't really followed the changes, but it'll be many. I wouldn't worry about the ladder race to 99, unless you know the game perfectly, have a flawless speed clear build, and have people working with you to boost currencies and play 22 hours a day you'll never make it anywhere near the top.

Not at all. You can get through all the end game maps using a budget build. Minmaxing is just for the autists that need to clear a map in 30 seconds to race the ladder. Normal people can get by with shit gear and builds just fine.
