Pretty much the only true disappointment in that entire direct was Amiibo Festival. i'm told HHD is actually pretty fun, and Star Fox Zero was my GOTY 2016. Triforce Heroes and Feds was great fun.

That is a FAR CRY from what I got from other developers that year, which was pretty much nothing.

There's a very real bias towards Sony content in this industry. It's odd how NO ONE came forward and spoke in depth about how underwhelming Horizon Zero Dawn was, for example. No Man's Sky blame went to Hello Games and NOT THE COMPANY THAT GAVE THEM MONEY as well.

Zero is a boring game. It's playable but the story is boring and all the battles with pieces of Star Wolf team are not passable as actual bosses with unique designs/personalities. The chicken walker is an element faithful to Star Fox 2 on the SNES that was never released and it doesn't feel satisfying as the Landmaster tank. The controls are difficult, think Star Fox 64 remake for 3DS with motion control mode only.

Remember how somersault, boost, brake, U-turn and all that shit is mapped to the c-buttons on 64? Its mapped to the stick in Zero
The chicken walker's hover button is holding down on the stick, which makes no sense whatsoever
And the aiming is just complete shit. This is coming from someone who loves the gyro aiming in Splatoon, and has almost 300 hours in that game. I'm not sure what they did to fuck it up in Zero, but its just so bad.

And Woolly World is ok.
And at the time Starfox Zero still looked like it could have been good. I just could have never imagined that it would have so damn much free roaming in it as opposed to the on-rails sections. Yeah, not being able to control it using normal controls was pretty damn stupid, but it's otherwise the relative lack of classic on-rails gameplay that is the game's downfall.
