welcome to /v/
>>379406354
/v/ absolutely shat on ps4 for ports remasters. we're only accepting it now because nintendo is jumping on the port train
>>379406354
alot of these are also on pc and other consoles
The PS4 came out in 2013.
>Last of Us Remastered
This came out in 2014. It made sense for this to be remastered, because it came at the very end of the PS3 life-cycle.
>Uncharted Collection
Features 3 games and came out in 2015.
>Heavy Rain / Beyond
Features 2 games and came out in 2016.
>Gravity Rush
Came out in 2016. This was on a dead console and they wanted to re-release it before the sequel came out.
>God Of War 3
This one is inexcusable. Came out in 2015, but makes no sense existing.
So in the PS4's first year, it only got one remaster that was exclusive to the console. Two remasters in 2015. Two remasters in 2016.
That's five remasters over the course of 4 years.
The Switch has 4 and it's only been a few months.

>5 remasters in 4 years
>OPs image shows 42 game cases
Uhhhh
>>379408168
>1st party vs 3rd party
uhhhh
how many of switch's remasters/ports are 1st party (hint: nintendo has no 3rd party support)
>>379408168
5 Sony remasters that Sony brought out.
Are you blaming Sony for publishers putting that out when people clearly like them?
Did Capcom really release resident evil 4/5/6 physically on ps4?

I think it's more a matter of how few new shit there tends to be on new systems. Shit gets ported when systems are first out because all the actual new games are still in development.
It isn't okay. Sony are absolute Jews and with that awful interview from them about how they basically said "fuck reverse compatibility" there's a good chance we may get a reverse of what happened in the PS4/Xbone E3 reveal.
>>379408309
Go into literally any switch thread and people are bitching at ports. Of both nitnendo and other games. So yes, the point is entirely relevant.
2014/15
>Sony releases a few remasters which complement the PS4 library nicely
>Nintenautists completely lose their shit and are screaming nonstop about the remasterstation
2017
>Switch releases with nothing but remasters
>people are rightfully laughing at Nintenbros
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEE IT`S OKAY WHEN SONY DOES IT
>>379408881
More like
>THE WII U SOLD LIKE SHIT SO IT MAKES SENSE THEY PORT EVERYTHING OVER WHADDAYA POOR? O,O
>>379406354
The biggest difference is that Sony does remasters.
The others just do ports.
Yes there is a difference.
>>379409285
There isn't when backwards compatibility isn't allowed.
>>379408881
Dont forget
>nobody bought a wii u xD
Nintenbros are literally the worst posters
>>379409779
Wait, the Switch accepts Wii U discs? That's news to me.
>>379406354
S-SHUT UP NINTENDRONE
>>379409991
When did I mention the Switch? Just because one shitty company does it it's okay for you to do it? Do you also think charging for online is okay as well?
If somebody were to drink Bleach, would you also do it?
>>379408303
>A remaster is still a remaster
uhhhh
Both consoles are as bad as each other, I own USF2 on the Switch but I call it a remaster not a new version or something else just because it isn't first party. So yes, third party games that are remasters still count towards the number of remasters on a system.
>>379408710
>>379411371
I'd call a remaster any game that was previously released that's sold again for over £30.
I.E. All Nintendo games.

>/v/ is one person
I hated the all the remasters on PS4 back then and I hate all the remasters on Switch now, but newfags arrive everyday and they shit up the board as usual.
