The new update made performance WAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than older patches, but they pushed the update today with nothing but performance updates after teasing like 4-5 guns on the trello

No sign of the bicycle
No sign of the dirtbike
No sign of the helicopter
No sign of the crop duster

I'm far from happy with the development of this game, considering it was supposed to be Beta ready at the end of q4 2015 (http://www.dayztv.com/standalone/dayz-2015-roadmap/)

But holy fuck, you gotta take the small things now.
But until it gets anything in the way of progress towards a beta, or even the ability to let modders start making a better game than paid devs, theres nothing else to be glad about

No but that's a problem with the game not the zombies. You have to aim a meter in front of a player to hit them as well and your bullet doesn't connect for like a second after you shoot. I feel like the melee detection is better than the bullet detection.

zombies were just for ambient purposes, you could easily get away from them with a flare or a smoke grenade anyway

Rust and 7DTD are Minecraft + DayZ clones. Minecraft is pure building while DayZ is pure PvP. DayZ is still the best for atmosphere, if only because of its spooky Arma 2 russian map.

I played DayZ mod and I fucking loved it. I intended on buying the standalone on release but I'd already been burnt by a couple of Early Access games, and even though I did believe DayZ would turn out to be good I wasn't willing to chance it so I remained steadfast and said I'd buy it on full release if it was good.

Sure as shit am I glad that I didn't buy this fucking mess of a game. If you haven't learnt by now not to buy Early Access games on Steam you are a fucking retard.

I have so many fucking awesome DayZ mod stories, most of which involve me being a total dick to people for no reason. Here are a couple,
