A mix of Shire and Alex of course. Off the top of my head, I think it's the Alex hat, chest, boots, neckband, and a ring. As for shire, you'll want the gloves, pants, belt, ring and earrings, along with Proto Ultima for the bracelet. Get the Shire star globe too if possible.That's the BiS for SCH, which should be roughly the same for AST if I recall. Frankly though, just get whatever 260/70 shit you can. Run the early floors of Alex if possible, but don't feel bad about just using Proto-ultima or Shire shit if you can't.

Well, the whole Alliance's been forced to battle with the Empire, for one. Your character is also close to most major combatants, Shinryu and Omega are in Empire territory and you've been befriending Doma refugees since like the end of 2.0.

In HWs it was a chain of favors that landed you smack dick in the middle of the Dragonsong struggle, now your character actually has motivation to tackle the issues.

Player motivation doesn't always align with character motivation, especially with the ass finale and all the downtime between story stuff.

BRD had highest dps in the game, but what made it viable was it's utility and raid synergy on top of that. MNK in ARR was only good because it did flat out 30% more damage than a goon ever could.

With TP no longer being an issue between goad and purification, I'm wondering if stacking enough SS to cast Dragon Kick only once every three rotations instead of two will be a viable choice. Since bootshine always crits, casting it more has to be a welcome addition to chakra building, right?

Plus more SS just seems plain fun to me, I've always wanted to do it but running out of TP was a very real issue.

One death in Gordias/Midas was a high chance of missing checks to begin with. Tank's only difficult is growing the balls to just join content to practice. Any good healer/dps can pretty much learn how to tank in less than a lockout since we more or less map out the fight already.
