All Grin needed to do was fucking play test it some more to realise that there were specific areas that played like complete shit and went completely counter to the joy of swinging about.

Heres an entire area with death pits and instant kill mines, heres a bunch of areas with invisible walls, heres a bunch of grindy as fuck shit enemies.

It could have and should have been miles better than it actually was.

Well, it got justifiably bad reviews for its initial control scheme. After patched to be played with sticks it became a fun game.

That was a weird choice for the main characters voice actor. I mean kudos for trying something different but I don't think it worked out all that well.

I unironically enjoyed Bionic Commando. Fun game.

Weirdly only by American reviewers. Game got very high grades from European magazines.

I still think this game's grenade throwing mechanic is fucking uncannily accurate and amazing
