wew, it's been a while since that happened. In retrospect the rallies are what fucked me up. I forgot that the AI will prioritize rally skills over attacking in certain situations. Two units would rally and shuffle their positions around before the dancer acted, fucking up my predictions.

Tharja is my strongest unit and I'm still at the bottom tiers but she is +att and seems pretty good to me. Wont she work in higher tiers ?

She works fine, it's just greens aren't as popular in the arena so she's going to have to muscle through lots of reds and blues. I used a +SPD Tharja on my team for a while and she did alright, you'd want to make sure you have ways to move her out of danger for sure though.

Candlelight and Dazzling Staff can both be passed on. Personally, I think +Res/-Atk is more useful because you're not doing damage either way with her since her attack stat is low, her weapon's attack is low, and with Dazzling Staff on she's doing 50% damage anyway.

And not even kidding, passing on Dazzling Staff 3 to Wrys is probably more useful for that second one. If you have any Wrys that have +HP or Res without a minus in the other stat, you're pretty set for someone who can survive the bullshit one-hit-kill mages since he has a a whopping 33-39 Res before skills or buffs are added in.

With Dazzling Staff 3, it also lets him debuff all the Distant Counter units, so you can either go for straight debuffs like Fear/Slow, or you can give him Panic to make him counter horse/armor/spellblade memes (turns all their buffs into debuffs).

Because red's the least important color now for the arena. Most people's blues are ridiculously strong and the biggest, most mobile threats. More people have greens to deal with that. Putting out a red is asking for the blue to murder them, so it's easier to kill greens with another green or a buffer like Eirika/Olivia if it's just against the obligatory Hector.

Plus with Tharja, you're gonna need someone else to buff her to make her real strong to deal with red/greens, which is basically sacrificing another spot on your team that should be getting buffed instead.

Do you have someone to buff tharja? I have a +attack-res tharja that I use in the arena whenever Sharena is a bonus hero and she is a functional nuke. Most red tomes are pretty mediocre unless you build them well, tharja is great since she's fast and comes with a blade tome, and sanaki is amazing with a raven time. Outside of that, reds kind of underperform.

I've obtained well over 225 heroes at this point with over half being red and I've managed to pull 3 Hinata (thank god at least for that many), 1 Lonk, and 0 Roy.
