Yeah, but the old way to use it was to knockback the rare against the wall and put them into 10 flamepits at once while keeping them frozen, trying to reach you. It helps that piercing through the rare and then hitting the wall creates two flamepits. It was all sorts of fun, but it wasn't actually a good build.

But it was VIABLE. You could put a bunch of stuff into passives and get Fend too, and go shield when you were against something it wouldn't work against. The damage was fixed, you see, so it would be just about viable at hell, but you didn't have to blow SIXTY POINTS on it.

In short, it was more fun to play, because you had more options, and now the damage doesn't even add up to make it viable, because thirty seconds of damage and three seconds of damage is a huge fucking difference.
