It is, and we all know that, but that doesn't change the fact that Heroes 5 is a fantastic game.

Fucking loved 5, but haven't played anything that came out after in the series.(Well, besides Dark Messiah, but that's the same setting, not series.)
Is anything beyond it worth it, or should I stay out of them?

I'd recommend GameRanger if you wanna try out playing multi. It goes with both legal and pirated versions and naturally have simultaneous turns as long players aren't too close each other.
