I saw Matthewmatosis play it yesterday, looked fine. Wish it had custom soundtracks so we could add the old games' soundtrack.

Personally I liked 2097's gritty dark look. It also seems like the ships are easier to maneuver than in 2097. At least it seems to go relatively fast.

I could never get into the series. I always liked crash team racing and mario kart more. I feel like the tracks are too narrow and you can't goof around all that much. The first wipeout also scared me for some reason because most tracks were at night time so you were driving through dark corridors and I was like 6 when I got it.

How do you get into these games? I picked up Wipeout 3 a while back for cheap and I have no fucking clue what I'm doing.

L1 is left brake, R1 is right brake. So when you're turning to the left in a tight corner, you use L1. Hitting walls is really unforgiving in the PS1 games since it pretty much kills your speed. But it gets easier when you learn the tracks by muscle memory

I don't really know why people even compare Wipeout and F-Zero, they're totally different in every way apart from the fact that the cars hover in both games

Zone you could cheat during a certain version of HD, where you'd crash into the tunnel on the Anulpha Pass overpass, and get respawned in the tunnel, so you'd crash off the track again before your invincibility ended, letting you gain infinite zones.

For Beat Zico, I can't remember exactly how you do it, but I think you boost off the overpass, clipping through the buildings, to land back on the track, near the 3 boost pads. Then you just need to finish the lap as I recall.
