What the fuck, how in the world? Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed Silent Hill. Played it twice and got the best ending on the second playthrough. But the gameplay is so basic and the narrative so underdeveloped in comparison to Silent Hill 2 I don't know how anyone doesn't treat it as just a prototype for Silent Hill 2 and 3.

RE1/make is godly on first playthroughs with Jill and Chris, but when you're done with that I don't know why you'd wanna play it again (especially if you're done with the survivor difficulty, too).

Once you know where everything is etc there really isn't any tension left in the game. You're just going through the motions essentially.

Man I replayed this game SO many fucking times. I was so addicted to DaS1 when it was peaking on /v/. Goddamn it was fun. I had reached a stage where I didn't want to play any other video game at all; everything else felt like such a downgrade. Of course a lot of that has to do with the online too though. Making new builds, invading, coop, trying different routes, it was so great. I loved the atmosphere and art style of the game, too.

Never got the same high out of Soulsborne again like the one I got with DaS1. Yes I did play DeS before DaS1, but I played through it literally right before my very first DaS1 playthrough. They were back to back playthroughs, and I just stayed with DaS1 after that.
