Do you shittalk/disrespect in video game, /v/?
I only shittalk or BM if the enemy was a faggot or doing dumb shit. Particularly in dark souls.
>invaded in DaS2, ivory king

>it's a doublebuff faggot
>wait till he does the second buff and backstab him with my greatsword
>retard panic rolls on wake up and gets hit by my jump attack, dies

>one new comment on your profile

Maybe it's bad manners but if I'm playing a fighting game and it becomes clear that my opponent is completely below my level, I'll give up on trying to fight "for real" and just use it as a live practice match. I might try to win the fight with one single move, or practice advanced movement techniques, or try to perfect my parrying.
I don't mean to disrespect, it's just how I think I can get the most out of every single match. There are some players who are so clearly unfamiliar with the game that it almost seems more disrespectful to just wipe the floor with them. What, I get to pull off some stupid high-damage combos that would never work on a competent opponent, while they just watch and think, "Man fuck this game is full of tryhards"? That doesn't sound like a lot of fun for anybody. At least if I decide to turn a match into a training session, that's me telling you, "Hey, here's a thing you gotta learn how to beat, let's see what you can learn in the next five minutes."
I dunno, depends on the player I guess. Some people would find that encouraging, some might find it insulting. I'm not responsible for how they manage their emotions though.
I will say one thing I do that is definitely "disrespectful": if you go afk on me I will give you about 10 seconds before I demolish your ass. I don't have time to sit around waiting, trying to guess which one of a dozen things could be causing your character to stand there like a dumbass in the middle of the ring. If you don't have time to fight, then you don't have time to fight. I know I've done it--girlfriend calls, pizza delivery, battery emergency, you name it--but I took those L's because I deserved them, because it was my responsibility to be ready for the fight.

If a certain playstyle annoys the other players, I go out of my way to annoy them.
>>379366568
I exclusively shittalk in TF2. I also play friendly classes like heavy on serious servers to help get things going.

>>379366568
I never do it. I'm not even against it or anything, it just doesn't even come to mind while playing a game.
