but it's just really sad. It used to be a game about grinding and some fairly inventive quests compared to other mmorpgs, interleaved with often fourth-wall breaking humor and a quaint charming soundtrack, and an incredible depth of content. Then it became about microtransactions. And then their mods couldn't avoid putting irl politics into the game because mod wolf or whoever practically has no other platform to spout his own beliefs where people are forced to listen.

everyone I know played OSRS, then we decided to pseudo ironically check out RS3 because it was so shit.

Now we all play RS3, Old School isn't what it used to be.

RS3 at least knows what it is, and once you get through the initial learning curve it's just a better mmo. Old School is fine, but goddamn is there nothing to do in OSRS other than grind.

Old School team announces there will be a gay pride event on thursday, an event on the scale of the valentines day one which isn't big. People assumed this is one of the newer mods pushing his agenda, a mod who is gay and transferred from the RS3 team to the old school team.
