Knuckles' Chaotix started out as Sonic Crackers which had Tails in it. He is still partially in the game's code & that's what he looks like if you go into the debug menu & choose him as a character. He usually crashes the game once he hits the ground, but in some leaked older builds of the game you can still fly like normal Tails would in the game.

Arent there two Sonic games coming out? One done by SEGA and another one fan-based? Which one is this?

Yes, there are 2, one called Sonic Forces which is being done by Sonic Team & is a 3D Sonic game like Generations and this one is Sonic Mania which is being developed by Christian Whitehead, Headcannon (Stealth) & PagodaWest Games and is supposed to be like the classic 2D games.

I bought the Collector's Edition around when it was available.

There's 5 hardboiled heavies in the silhouetted picture they shared. Since we've seen one of them in studiopolis and another teased in mirage saloon, it's safe to assume that they're going to be the bosses for the new zones. If each new zone has a hardboiled heavy, that makes for 5 new zones, or 6 if the final zone is original.

Since they've said that the ratio of zones is about 40% new and 60% old, that means there's 7 returning zones if there are 5 new ones, or 8 if there are 6 new ones.

That means we're looking at a total of either 12 or 14 zones.

Daily reminder that the colour pallet of Sonic in Mania is wrong, because it based itself off Sonic CD's lighter blue, however, Sonic CD's animation cells recently got found, google them, and they're all the original colour darker blue. When they transitioned it to animation, saturation took effect and the hue of blue went lighter, manias colour pallet is based off saturation and a god damn lie.

I realise its true autism to complain about these things, but come on.

I loved the Adventure games back in the day. I fully accepted the Modern Sonic look. Hell, I didn't even realize there was a schism in the fanbase about it until Sonic 4 was announced.

But you cannot look at this design and tell me it doesn't beat the everloving shit out of the Modern version. This shit is fucking PERFECT. Sega really needs to pull their head out of their ass and just go back to it entirely.
