It will improve your multiplayer experience a lot. I've been playing the same online game for almost 10 years and whenever I play during the day it's unbearable but at night things get really fun and you get to play against other adults who also got gud.

This. Honestly I just stick to bots nowadays. MP is overrated. Randos without chat is the same experience as bots and it's not like I exactly wanna hear what other fucktards have to say anyway, and I'm not one of those kinds of freaks who join clans or seek out other gamers or anything.

bots are ok, i guess, but not really; there's a lot to be said for true MP, and you can't get a rise out of bots no matter how much shit you talk. And bots have no idiosyncrasies as such. They are as soulless as teh gameplay they offer.
In TF2, at least, they are nothing more than stick-figures for young padawans to fight against to hone their skills.
Gottta say though, TF2 bots seem to me to be better than most as far as AI goes. Not an expert, just a casual observation.
