They picked some kinda dull characters(Maybe they just feel dull to me because I played them all in the closed beta) for the free rotation, and it takes awhile to unlock a new character. I think this might hurt them, in a character based game getting people to that character that just clicks with the ASAP is key to retaining them as a player.

No, it wasnt good. The game tried to be too many things at once. They put in a gear system for the only reason because they where used to it. On top of that the gear system had so many factors that it was just plane UNFUN and it was more beneficial to use the lowest rarity of items over the legendary ones.

People blame Overwatch for Battleborns fall, but it killed itself by being cluttered, convoluted and full of of long grinds that where placed in the game to artificially lengthen its life. The game was terrible and the fact it fell so hard and so fast only prove that.

desu the game is pretty fun. out of all the "we're totally not a moba" shooters it's probably the best interpretation unless you count paragon. the single player/co-op missions are a little lengthy, but fun. there's no real reason the game should have bombed as hard as it did. personally, I think the poor optimization, releasing with overwatch, and bad UI did it in.

I played the game, even beat the campaign. It SUCKED. The gameplay was nothing special and the item/gear system was a mess. They didn't balance any of the story missions for single player but still slapped the single player tag on it in order to sell more copies. I couldn't even find a group to do the final boss fight or final levels. That again, where not balanced for single player.
