I got all except the blue coins. I started using a guide and reverse engineering every location, but got bored a few hours into it. Coins spawning in different locations in different locations was bullshit, and I'm not that concerned with seeing a different picture in the credits

I had all but a single blue coin. It was in Pianta Village, in the fucking sign near the bridge. I found it after 8 fucking years of ripping my hair out and being too stubborn to google it.

On my original save I stopped at 103. I got every shine that wasn't based on collecting blue coins or 100 gold coins. I'm replaying the game now off and on, probably not even gonna go for the bonus shines.
