Dirt Rally was an experiment to see if people wanted a more simulation based game rather than just pure arcade (Dirt 1-3) and it succeeded very well.

Dirt 4 is basically Dirt Rally 2. Improved physics and handling. There's also a casual gamer mode for those wanting the arcade aspect again

Fuck I haven't mastered rally yet. I hope the new game is great of course but rally was already shocking. More accessibility is not exactly what it needs. It needs to be even more hardcore.
