Xbox One S controller is plug and play, no need for any configuration and works with emulators flawlessly. For metroidvania games I prefer the d-pad on Xbox One S controller, it is the only good gaming related product that microsoft has made recently. I like both controllers though, so I use both.

You're talking about a repeater, I think, which doesn't actually help with ping.

Wireless in general is bad for vidya, because at best, you can get half the speed of wired; instead of simply establishing a connection (or not) and sending packets, every single fucking sent packet has to get a "packet received" message sent back to the source from the destination.

If the issue is you've got your multipurpose PAT device down in the basement and you need the repeater for a stronger signal, okay, but it's unlikely that it's helping with ping.

I've been and x1 owner/fan since they launched. I've decided to say screw it and get a ps4 pro. Scorpio has selling points. All exclusives will be on pc and devs aren't going to take the time to make the scorpio version of games any better than the ps4 pro version.

The PS4 is akready the gaming rig, when I need it, the ThinkPad is just a streaming target for the PS4 and runs the inevitable PC exclusives (point&click adventures, city builders, VNs, experimental indie games), which the Intel HD Graphics 520 is rendering just fine.
