My suggestion: Don't.

You will just become more and more allergic to any fps that's LESS than your screen's hz. Assuming your monitor would even BE real 240hz.

I've already seen 144hz kids whine how 60fps looks "unplayable" to them. Don't become one of those people.

I've been on a 144 for a while now and while it made eye strain pretty much nonexistent for long stints of vidya or working, anything below 50fps is legitimately disgusting and makes me feel physically ill.

144->240 is not as noticeable of a jump as 60-144, there's some severe diminishing returns as well as the fact that only older, less demanding games like csgo will run at that framerate comfortably.

You'll also have the issue of getting so used to the framerate that playing a 60fps limited game like MGSV is uncomfortable for you as you're so used to 240.

For now 144Hz is all you need plus it's possible to run it at 1440p where I think 240 will be limited to 1080p for quite a while.

Remember to play CS:GO in 4:3 like all the pros to get better too. Play on low settings to get the highest fps.

Well guess what, you got it anyway. In any case, you can basically do fuck all with it right now unless you feel like turning your settings way the fuck down just to try to get 240 frames out of it. Even that assuming the games you can squeeze 240 frames out of even have unlocked frame rates.

The only thing it really does for you right now is sets you up to have it when it's achievable, but hwo knows when that'll be. Instead of frame rates getting higher, devs seem to be more interested in adding retarded shit like HAIRWORKSTM to keep even the best setups in the sub 144 category.

You've probably played HL2 a fuckload of times already. Games that run on MT Framework almost all have unlocked fps, that includes Resident Evil games starting from 5, as well as Dragon's Dogma and DMC4, including SE. Vanquish which was just released also has unlocked fps, and the high-fps damage bug has been fixed. Valkyrie Chronicles has unlocked FPS too, but I'm not sure how much of an impact that would have in a game like that.
