Ive been wondering why that is. Does Nintendo just force them to do the same shit each game? Because if not I have like a million different ideas you could do with the pokemon ip. Its actually rather sad that Poken is like the first thing we've gotten.

This is the only company that can re-release three games from the same franchise in one year and get away with it

Game Freak probably doesn't have the talent/staff size to make a full featured console game

Best to be the big fish in the small pond then get exposed by better more expansive offerings on console, where Pokemon's name may not carry as much weight.
