Why would you? Sharpshooter has the ability to freeze FPs, allowing you to one shot them with the railgun. Berserker can kite + parry. Commando can successfully take one down with consistent headshots with an automatic weapon. Same for SWAT. This line of thinking extends to all the classes. You're just making up excuses to suck.

I've been playing it more often. Either as Commando or Firebug.

What load out do you normally take for Commando? I generally run with AK + Medic AR. Works well for trash and helps keep everyone healed up.

Downloading it on the PS4 as we speak. Glad it got good Pro support. I remember enjoying KF1 a tonne, so hopefuly this one at least gives me a couple weeks of fun.

I've been playing for a while and was pretty ambivalent about the whole thing, but then the Sharpshooter class came out. I absolutely love the strategy of crouching and holding position to max out your damage as you line up headshots.

One of my favorite repeatable video game experiences is when I'm playing on a server with a bunch of friends, because they call out FPs or Scrakes and I just one or two shot them with the railgun (depending on difficulty, number of players, etc) sometimes even at point blank range. The reload sound for the railgun is also really satisfying too.

I like Outpost because of the dedicated lanes that you can hold.

Berserker with katana + eviscerator pretty much destroys everything. Trash clearer and you can destroy big zeds easily, you're fast, regen health, and tanky.

I wasn't keen on the katana/eviscerator combo until I got the hang of parrying. The parry perk + fast zed time is fucking ridiculously empowering. Then you get to kill scrakes with two shots of the eviscerator.

Do you run dreadnought or skirmisher? I've been running skirmisher for the past few days and it does me great. But I did The Descent a few hours ago and couldn't keep up with how cramped the arenas were.

Skirmisher if you have room to move, but for the descent, definitely get the extra health.

Berserker with perfect parrying skills reporting in. Took on a scrake and 2 FPs. I actually healed while they attacked because of my parry power.

Commando felt pretty lackluster last time I played though, I think they fuck around with commando's low tier weapons way too much and the ak is a gun I've never been fond of. The LMG doesn't make up for any of that because it's as weak as commando's tier 1 gun unless they changed that.

It depends if the randos communicate or not. I've only just started playing suicidal maps and the first match I had some guys that insisted my two friends and I talk to them but on every map since no one has said a peep.

Something I really dislike about the game is the leveling system. I understand that part of the draw of the game is the progression of it but on the other hand I don't want to go back to a lower difficulty to play a new class.

This is me but with demo. I try and start off with something such as support or gunslinger, but a few waves in I have to switch to demo to deal with bigger zeds and spam the M-79 on the one corner people don't want too watch (which is always where the stalkers and GOD DAMN CRAWLERS come from). I know my group is bad when I convince myself I have to buy the M16 for personal defence. This is all typically on suicidal; don't really have a food group to play HoE with.

You can't play arena shooters, where walking speed is about as fast as a sprinter, and then switch over to this snail shit, where you have to press a button just to go full speed, and that full speed is a slow walk

No you get xp for dealing damage based on what weapons you use. There are 25 levels with new perks unlocked every 5 levels. There are other ways to gain xp for each class like welding doors or killing fleshpounds with explosives but those are not required to level up. It's not longer tedious like in the first game, just kill stuff and level up.

Got it in early access when it went on sale for like 40% or 50% off iirc. Played 8 hours, barely made a dent in leveling so I was way underpowered compared to teammates. When it came out of EA I refunded it because of that bullshit.

Honestly the game shouldn't even have a level system since it's only purpose is "muh sense of progression" and segregating the playerbase.
