Makes sense though. You'd turn it off, come back later, and then you don't know where it is any more if you forgot what stage you lost it in.

And Mario takes double damage without his hat, so a dumb kid just made the game even harder on himself.

Giant paintings more than large enough to jump through being the only thing in the room with a steps leading to it in a game where you jump to accomplish everything.

It's the Banjo Kazooie mindset. Mario isn't some fat turd who can barely move without a panel powerup, play him right and he can jump over most of the level.
>>
>>379265775
The Toad that appears in the lobby tells you to jump into the paintings. Even if you were an impatient little shit who couldn't read, the Bob Omb Battlefield painting starts to ripple when you get close to it, making it look like it holds some significance

Did we play the same game?
You constantly get shit camera angles. It's happening so often, that you have to walk along a narrow path and you can't even GET a camera angle that would allow you to either press left/right or forward in order to walk that path, it always seems to want you to push the stick in a ~30° angle. There are some moment's where the default camera works, but about 80% of the time it simply doesn't.
Mario Galaxy has minuscle camera problems compared to SM64 and actually does it right.
