ITT: Sequels that are an improvement over the first/previous game(s) in the series in almost every way, but just didn't quite grab you for some reason. I'll start.

Do games like that even exist? I don't know anything about mirrors edge 2 but as soon as I saw it I knew I would get bored out of my mind for some reason even though I loved Mirrors Edge, and played it a few weeks ago actually
I enjoy dishonoured 2, but I can't bring myself to play more than a few hours of it.
The port is horrible, t's poorly optimized.
It just doesn't feel right.

>Terrible port
>Terrible story
>Reliance on previous DLC
Dishonored 2
Prey
Fallout 4
Rising Storm 2
Bioshock Infinite

prey doesn't really count as a sequel since technically it has nothing to do with the previous iterations but you're spot on

Not the case with Mirror's Edge Catalyst. That shit was a straight downgrade in almost every aspect, even graphically. Shit just doesn't play or look as well as the first game and it's a damned fucking shame too.

Same. Couldn't enjoy it and didn't enjoy the first dishonored for very long
I've finished and loved Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, but just can't get into the Dark Souls games. Although I haven't tried 3 but I wanted to beat the first before I do.

>Fallout 4
>Bioshock Infinite
The only thing these two improved upon their predicessors is the combat. I'd argue they were a major step backward in every other aspect.
it would be great if it didnt run like shit
why didnt they just use the engine from the first one

The only thing that slightly bugs me is the big city areas before the "main" level.
For example, it takes quite a while to reach the Clockwork Mansion proper. I just want to replay the Clockwork Mansion, not the way there.
This was more or less the same in Dishonored 1 but for example in the Lady Boyle mission you could reach the mansion in 1 minute. Dishonored 2 has bigger maps.
