I love the bossfights, and just the setting in general. It's pretty badass to have a one man(or two) army take down all these soldiers and dismantle entire armies (and aliens). All with a smile on their face, because they fucking love it.

I REMEMBER YOU. It's insane how you actually believe your super mobile non-zombie soldier with stockpiled grenades and flame-shot strat is actually less casual than the super slow zombie form's super slow vomit attack that can easily die if your decide to attack at the wrong moment.

3 has to be some of the most fun I've ever had in a video game. The music was top notch, so were the animations. Bosses were difficult but none were impossible. I also liked that some levels had alternate paths, sometimes even with unique enemies which would change the feeling of a level I'd played before. The only issues I had with the arcade version were tapping the keys fast enough to shoot at a fast pace.

Le barf twice at the right moments you mean. And after the first barf you've gotta position yourself just right so that those mono-eyes' attacks don't hit your slow-moving ass. AND THEN you have to worry about the pillars falling on you which are one hundred percent more deadly since you move so slow.

Also it totally does not take more skill. flame shot's the most powerful weapon in the game and your grenade spamming is easy as hell to do.

The best way I could illustrate my point is by telling you to try and consistently pull off the zombie trick yourself, 'cuz it's a lot harder than it looks.

Every facet of the game has personality and charm. The visuals are gritty but bouncy, the weapons are satisfying and bombastic, the bosses are huge yet intricate, the level design features plenty of gimmicks to keep things interesting, and the characters move with a wierd sort of gravity that makes it oddly easy to dodge shots despite jumps being slowish. Shame no one has yet to successfully emulate Metal Slug 3's quality.
