Yeah the codexes are garbage, aside from maybe the 3 minute energy codex. After that though, it's much more efficient to just use 2 apples to refill instead of the 300 apple codex.
You will need a considerable amount of apples though, the true final boss is cost heavy but a great finale.
Probably would have enough apples if you didn't bother kitting out Hammer Lord or Doctor Healmore. Basically the best path is to ignore the dexes except for maybe a couple energy ones, and only use T2/3 gear for everyone until Drawcia unlocks.

Don't even fucking remind me. I will never get over how many times that first tilting tree level absolutely fucked me because just 1 Kirby couldn't get his shit together enough to hop on the fucking star with the rest of them in that one sequence with all those fucking spike balls. The Skull Tower level didn't give me as much trouble, but it can fuck off too. There's nothing wrong with Mass Attack's gimmick or those levels' gimmicks on their own, but combine the two and you have a shit sandwich with you getting buttfucked between the two mechanics. Fuck me, it's making my blood boil just thinking about that shit. If I never see those levels again it'll be too fucking soon. FUCK.

You are lucky. I wasted four fucking hours on that level because Kirby RNG. Four. Fucking. Hours. FUCK. But I beat it, and now I never have to play it again. It had good levels, it had shitty levels, but the minigame ridiculous. Star Patrol EOS is still pretty damn good, but I wish Brawlball held a candle to the original bad boy.

Fortunately I happened to gold star Necrodeus my first try. I didn't even know what I was doing and I still kicked his ass. It felt cathartic after the shitshow that was world 4. Boss rush didn't stand a chance, either.

At any rate, I've been playing Brawlball like crazy after beating the game, I just love me some pinball action. I've never played Pinball Land, though, I should probably download it and give it a try. Nothing will ever top Pokemon Pinball: R&S

Pokemon Pinball R&S is ok, but as far as Nintendo pinball games are concerned, I have to give Kirby's Pinball Land the top slot: it's really fucking good and it's a beast to complete, netting you some pretty sweet extras that are referenced in Brawlball, right down to the cat. That kind of consistency really strikes a chord with me, so Brawlball gets some extra points. Pokemon Pinball R&S is pretty alright, but I think I enjoyed completing the original a bit more. I still have some work to do on R&S though, so I can't fully judge that one yet. I still need to find a copy of Metroid Prime Pinball. Mario Pinball is trash.

I don't think it was a nerf so much as Robobot bosses just have an assload of health. I went back to Super Star after Robobot for a bit and it felt more or less the same. Bosses in Super Star die absurdly fast to anything that can "throw" projectiles like Jet, Ninja, and Suplex.
