Most of the time, you gotta have good knowledge on how to do sprite art if you are doing it. Gameplay is easier to do than map wads in my opinion.

Well, incase of someone like PillowBlaster, his gameplay mods are pretty top notch. Although balancing is kinda weird in them, like Trailblazer being easy as fuck but once you go on hardest difficulty, you find yourself using the dual revolvers all the time because infinite ammo.

I bought Doom 2 on steam on sale to track time. You can launch ZDL through it and launch whatever and still track your time.

My friend down the street's parents had a beige PC in 1993 when Doom came out and my friend showed it to me one day after we played sega genesis. I was like ten years old and just completely in awe of how fucking badass this game was. I ended up getting a 32X mainly just to finally be able to play Doom for hours myself because I knew my parents would never buy a PC.
