What game mechanics does SR3 do worse than 2 or 1? 4 is obviously a difference type of game completely, but 3 played completely fine within the original formula. If they couldn't handle bringing all the stories together in the end properly, they should have picked one story and gone full force with it.

The only thing I'd really want clarified is how long of a period the game rakes place over. It seems like one night, but Blake's wife goes from zero to completely preggers during that period.

That said, I love this game to pieces. I think Soma dealt with some scarier ideas, but Outlast 2 hit those same notes about people descending into madness that Bloodborne did and with much more vigor. I would be thrilled if they did another DLC like the first game got.

There's a part near the end of Dropsy when you can tell that something is going horribly wrong but the game is just acting like everything is normal. The entire segment of the game leading up to the reveal of what was actually going on was excruciating to play through, its so tense. You just know that something horrible is going to happen and then it kind of subverts your expectations a bit about what exactly was going to happen.

Amazing game, highly recommend it, best point and click since Lucasarts stopped making em.

It's been a long time since I played any Quest for Glory games but didn't that series still require you to do most of the puzzles in the game, it just had multiple solutions?

At any rate, Dropsy is much more in the vein of Lucasarts than Sierra. It basically plays like DOTT or Sam and Max except there are a lot of optional puzzles on the side instead of all the puzzles being required to complete the game.
