if they're having a whole direct dedicated to pokemon, they're probably gonna show more than one game. Even if the direct is 10 mintues thats more thank enough time to showcase 2 games.
So now the question is what are the games?
Pokemon stars is an obvious choice so I bet that'll be showcased for sure. Maybe they'll be new islands and different story where the ultra beast appear earlier or some shit like that.
As far as the second game goes, I think it's a fair toss up between a D/P remake and an original kanto remake. The d/p remake seems likely due to >muh patterns but I think the kanto remakes hold water due to the popularity of pokemon go and all the gen 1 pandering going on lately.
There's also the chance they'll showcase a 3rd game, most likely some kind of spinoff game. If this is the case, they'll start with the weird spinoff then move onto the main series titles.

It better be a gen 4 remake tomorrow and not another sun and moon again, sun and moon simply wasnt as memorable as gen 4

I own a 3DS and have not wanted to play it in a few years. I don't own a Switch but I want a reason to own one besides Odyssey. Stop holding back the Switch with the 3DS Nintendo.

What's the fucking point of a gen 4 remake other than graphics and nostalgia? Gen 2 and 3 made sense at least since they were before the physical/special split. Holy shit /v/ hasawful taste.

I started with gen 1, like everyone else probably, but you have to be brainless to think gen 7 wasn't the best one yet. Finally a lot of places to explore, better story, fucking HMs are gone, trials are fun. Only thing I'd add would be some kind of Hard Mode.

Also, while Sun/Moon does put less Pokemon for trainers, they usually have much better levels. Probably one of the better games in the series, you always meet people who are kinda on your level, they just have 1 or 2 Pokemon less - and end game shit can get a bit harder, so it's perfectly fun.

Just add Hard Mode and I'll be content.

I was really excited for Sun & Moon, I avoided everything related to the games from the time they announced them to release, I didn't know the legendaries or the starters until I booted up my game for the first time.
I was expecting everything to be as magical as the first time I played a Pokemon game, because my child mentality regarding Pokemon games always makes me ignore all the bad stuff in order for me to enjoy them.

But this time the Pokemon designs really let me down to the point where I stopped playing and I haven't touched my 3Ds since December, I just can't find the willpower to pick the game up again and finish it. Designs are a huge thing for me, I have nothing against the new Z Moves, whatever they're called or whatever they do to implement new stuff to battles but as soon as I saw the first Super Beast I just kinda... Dropped it.

STOP MAKING POKEMON LOOK LIKE FUCKING DIGIMON
