I got the Sims 3 recently and I just can't seem to play for more than 20 mins at a time, what should I be doing in this fucking game to have fun?

Bart's room?

Homer was sitting in that room watching tv when Bart and Milhouse were fighting in the treehouse when it was raining.

I have no idea who rumpus is or why he got a room.

Every now and then I'll play it for like 20-30 hours in a couple weeks and then get bored of it. Usually I just get some goal in mind like save up money to build a mansion or bang a bunch of people or break up a marriage or something. If you're autistic enough to set up storylines in your head or just like fucking around, it can be really fun in bursts.

Yeah Behind the Laughter is pretty much an appropriate ending to the Simpsons but 10 and 11 were still mediocre compared to 2-9, even if 10 and 11 are miles better than everything after it.

It's like Sealab 2021 where everything after Murphy's VA passing away wasn't that good yet the ending to the series was still good.
>>
>>379221598
It's not inflation. It's neocons. They fucked the west so bad because boomers thought they're smart.
>flood the country with third worlders who severely undercut wages so you can cheap out on paying your workers
>raise taxes
>refuse to hire anyone who hasnt finished college even for jobs that shouldnt require it
>if someone with a degree tries to get a job give him an internship instead
Greedy boomers and neocons (democrats and republicans alike) fucked over the west so bad.
>>

>>379221508
>>379221518
Why does nobody like the first season? Its my favourite season.
>>
>>379221598
The way the economy is set up is so that it will continue to grow and prosper so long as most people act in their own interest in the long term.
Boomers acted very strongly in their own interest in the short term fucking everything up in the long term. They've fucked up the legal system, environment, pensions/social security, banking and housing markets all in the name of short term profit.
We're no longer in that short term time span and we're suffering the consequences.
>>
>>379221598
>>379221889
Free trade and globalization murdered any non-agricultural based economy outside of the coasts.
>>
>>379218405
It becomes a lot more fun if you have 4 or more members in the household. I did that first and had a ton of fun. Later I reinstalled but wanted to focus on just one or two sims, and then wondered why I wasn't having fun like the first time.

Not long ago I made a big household again and it was fun once more.
>>
>>379221880
>Behind the Laughter is pretty much an appropriate ending to the Simpsons

Looking in retrospective that episode was a huge cry for help, they knew what was coming ahead, they warned us and we didn't listen now we have to deal with the consequences.
>>
>>379222031
>>379222035
A economy based on infinite growth is bullshit.
A growth based economy must be allowed to shrink and regrow.
It's a cyclical pattern. Japan is doing it right, one of the few countries who will just sit it out and adapt to the situations.

The normal cycle would be economic growth > aging population > economic stagnation > shrinking population > more free jobs and automation > economic growth.

But the western world and greedy boomers overreacted with their retarded predictions and started importing billions of third worlders into the west in order to "save pensions" and "create growth" and completely fucked over the economy.

The west is already dead, its only a matter of time until it all comes crashing down.
But opening the borders for third worlders fucked over everyone.

It just feels like a very different show. Tonally, it's all over the place; some episodes have stories about depression or suicide, there's an episode about Bart being abused by Frenchmen and forced to drink drain cleaner, two episodes about infidelity, etc., but then some episodes have Rugrats-esque stories about fighting bullies with water balloons, or goofy B-stories about Bart and Homer playing video games while Lisa is grappling with depression, or a silly Home Alone style kids vs. bandits episode. It's all over the place. Plus, Klasky Csupo is awful.

For the second one:
>Most of the hallucination sequence was animated completely by David Silverman. Silverman did not want the risk of sending it to South Korea, as he wanted it to look exactly as he had imagined it, including rendered backgrounds to give a soft mystical feel to the scene.

Most of the simpsons actual art was farmed out to Korea. Makes me love this intro all the more.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GK-1zT1gBXk&t=33s

both studios farmed the actual task of drawing each frame of the actual animation out to korean companies. the planning and key frame animation was done in the US by the guys you actually see in the credits of the episodes.

All this shit I hear about shrinking populations being an epidemic is bull shit. It's a good thing, when your economy, retirements, pensions etc depend on a every expanding base (like a pyramid scheme) you know something is up

It came back in a recent Christmas episode when they turned the house into a bed-and-breakfast. Marge even commented "sometimes it's there, sometime's it's not".

i like the grimes episode but i always felt like they should have had someone do a guest voice for him instead of the same old hank azaria voice that 60% of the side characters already have. it really would have driven home how different of a character he was i think.

its weird how the simpsons seem to do guest voices for any old reason whatsoever and the one time it really would have worked in the context of the episode they choose not to.
>>
>>379219046
Not related but how did Al Bundy afford his house?
>>
>fun houses
Some autist made fucking hogwarts castle in the sims.

The art gremlin was cool. He lived in the basement and sold art to support the normal family that lived above him.

Rape dungeons are a strong consider.

The OG baller house was the time spiral hedge maze of doom. 20 hour walk to commute to work. Don't have the image of it.
>>
>>379219524
Lisa necesita frenos.
>>
>>379227835
Anyone who sympathizes with Frank Grimes completely missed the point of the episode. So you've suffered and there's people doing better than you? Good job being a entitled fuck. Instead of focusing on other people lives and how they are better than yours and being an envious fuck focus on your own life and in improving it. His end was perfectly fitting.

Sometimes they try to get someone and then they cancel at the last minute. Like how Tom in Brother from the Same Planet was supposed to be Tom Cruise but he cancelled so they had to use Phil Hartman again.

Don't forget that time he invested in pumpkin futures, fucked that up and had to have Marge's sisters pay the mortgage.
>>
>>379228965
Except he was fine with Homer's family, his main problem with Homer stemmed from his blatant incompetency and disregard for safety coupled with everyone willing to gloss over those two flaws with "yeah, he's a cool guy though", any other problem he had with Homer's success was born from his rage at that point snowballing out of control.
>>

>>
>>379228758
Grimes was whiny so it's not obviously pleasant to watch but the youmustnevercomplainsfags h1ve such unreasonable standards.
The only bad thing he did was being angry at someone extremely lucky after his only chance to succeed at life was destroyed (indirectly because of the same guy fault) and he basically killed himself because of a mental breakdown.
That's not even like he wanted to hurt Homer or anything.
Whoah literal Hitler.
>>
>>379219349

This room is clearly on the second floor, it's level with the tree house.
>>
>>379219818
>says it took him about a day of research to figure out the layout
>says there is no much info about the Simson's house layout
>says that while pretty much anyone can easily make out the layout of the 1st floor and the room placement is well known, almost no one know where the kid's room are placed exactly
>still got the 2nd floor pretty wrong and the 1st floor room sizes fucked up
How fucking stupid can he be?
It takes 2 minutes to find an accurate Simpson's house map, and that was when Sims 2 was still the main game.
And even without it, anyone who's seen any episode in which both Bart's and Lisa's room are shown can see how they're placed to each other.
Take any episode in which Bart and/or Homer run from their respective rooms down to the first floor and following their path you can easily make out where the rooms are, same goes for the bathroom.
Maggie's room placement is almost never shown clearly, but even then it can be easily figured out.
