What's the best Platinum game and why?

Nier Automata is a really good game, but that's not really because of Platinum, the combat is simple and easily broken. You can't even transition from a light attack to a heavy attack or vice-versa in a proper combo.

I wouldn't count NieR because it is first and foremost a Yoko Taro game, so I think Bayonetta. Never played Bayonetta 2 however

OP here (only saying so you know Im not trying to samefag)

I think MGR is the best balance of everything Platinum does well. Top-notch cuhrayzee combat, a fun as fuck story, excellent bosses, and arguably the most replayable Platinum game (Nier automata doesn't count as replayable because it's all one story across five credit sequences, IMO),

MGR is my favorite game by them but my favorite platgames protagonist is from a different one.
I sincerely hope Nintendo fucking dies for good so Bayo 2 can come to PC.
